Minzabella Murrini: Premium Hand-Pulled COE 90 Canes (Bullseye Compatible)
Hand-Crafted in Bellingham, WA by Glassworks Northwest
Bring "Beautiful Stars" to your glass art! Minzabella Murrini is my signature line of handmade glass canes, born from a passion for detail and a love for the craft. Named after my two cats—Minzer ("Star" in Arabic) and Bella ("Beautiful" in Italian)—these canes are designed to add a touch of artisan magic to your fusing, casting, or glass-blowing projects.
The Artisan Difference: Hand-Pulled Canes
Unlike pre-sliced murrini, I sell my glass in full cane/stick form. I believe the artist should have total creative control. By providing the canes whole, I empower you to nip the glass to the exact thickness your specific project requires—whether you need thin wafers for delicate jewelry or thicker chunks for deep casting.
Product Specifications
Glass Type: Premium Bullseye Glass (COE 90).
Quantity: Sold by the ounce (approx. six 2-inch sticks per ounce), which will give you 85-100 slices.
Format: Whole canes/sticks (not pre-sliced).
Origin: Hand-pulled in a vitrigraph kiln in my Bellingham, WA studio.
Pro-Tips for Cutting
To get the best results with your Minzabella Murrini:
Use a pair of wheeled glass nippers (ensure the wheels/blades are sharp for clean breaks).
Place the cane squarely between the wheels to achieve a straight, flat cut.
My Recommendation: I typically nip pieces to about 1/8" thickness for my own work, but feel free to experiment with thinner or thicker slices to suit your style!
The Story Behind the Glass
I began my vitrigraph journey in 2021, spending years mastering the process to perfect my pulls (I created complex, detailed canes in polymer clay before making them in glass). What started as a way to create unique elements for my own projects is now available to you. Every ounce of Minzabella Murrini is "slow-made" with intention, ensuring high-quality, compatible glass for your studio.
Shop Policy
Because glass is delicate and shipping can be taxing on the material, all sales are final and I do not accept returns. Please double-check the listing title, photos, and COE compatibility before purchasing to ensure these beautiful stars are exactly what you need for your next masterpiece.
Questions? I love talking glass! Please reach out if you have any questions about the canes or how to use them. Happy creating!
