Glassworks Northwest - Small STAR Plant Stake - Green/Blue/Yellow - Fused Glass Garden Art

My pretty fused-glass plant stakes are a nice addition to a planter, flower pot or anywhere in the garden. They are an ever-lasting piece of happy art you can add to a bouquet of flowers, a potted plant or a gift basket. They make a great gift for Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, anniversaries, birthdays, thank you, get well or "just because." Many people tell me my plant stakes are their "go-to" gift and always have a few on hand for any occasion.

This perfect glass star stays pretty all year! Perfect in the yard, in a flower pot or in a planter.

I make each star myself in my home studio by designing it, cutting the glass to size, assembling/decorating it and firing it in one of my three kilns. Often, pieces are fired multiple times to get the right look. Everything is properly annealed so the glass is strong, very shiny and durable. The stars are made with scrap glass from the production of other items in our studio. We take all of the colorful bits and grind them up. Then, we use them to make these colorful, happy stars.

I also make the metal stake by soldering the pieces and using an epoxy to attach it to the back of the flower. The design is fused in and will not scratch or rub off.

Approx size: glass star is 4 inches across. Stake is 16 inches.

**If you want your star to last a long time, bring it inside if the weather gets extremely cold and/or windy!
